Johnny Kills share second single ‘Maybe Next Year’

Johnnykills Brighton newcomers Johnny Kills have shared single number-two, ‘Maybe Next Year’.

The follow-up to last-months frenetic first offering ‘Take It Easy’ makes for a more laid-back affair from the trio. In truth, it’s a-bit of a lo-fi thriller.

Self-described as being written “about when you get into that introspective zone and start analysing yourself that little bit too much, leading to you questioning if you’re normal like everyone else.”

The track grips from the outset with hazy, melodic-vocals and jangly guitar-lines that build in momentum, leading up to its distortion rinsed conclusion.

Johnny Kills are Tim Lloyd-Kinnings, Lewis Lloyd-Kinnings and Cameron Gipp. They’ll play their debut show on September 3rd at The Hope and Ruin in Brighton, for This Feeling.
