The British Summer may be winding down, but, Bestival’s ‘Summer of Love’ is only just beginning! This week, the Isle of Wight site will be awash with over 50,000 festival goers, all kitted out in their summery finest for one last bash/lash.
With an diverse arrange of acts from the top-down, this weekend promises to have something for everyone. Headliners will come in form of – 80’s new wave outfit Duran Duran, The Chemical Brothers and Missy Elliot, whose return will close the event on Sunday evening.
This year, the brainchild of organizer Rob Da Bank will include for the first time new areas – ‘The Commune’ and ‘Bestivale’, the last of which will be situated smack bang in the wonderland that is the Wishing Tree Field.
Away from the music and wacky night-spots, Bestival offer an array of niche events that other festivals struggle to compete with, including free haircuts, blind dates and rave knitting.
So, if you have a ticket, no matter what is you’re tickle, you are guaranteed some action!
