Introducing: Such Hounds

Firing out of Brooklyn, NYC, is the new(ish) band Such Hounds who blend rock with folk to great effect. Formed at the beginning of last year, the four-piece released their free to download debut EP back in 2012 (which you can find here) and are now preparing for the release of their new EP ‘I Hate Summer’ (out September 30)

The first single taken from the EP is ‘Sold my Soul’ and it’s a bit of a mish-mash of everything. The Americana-vibe is present from the opening riff and rages with ever-expanding hooks, while the folkier side of their output is felt on the vocals that take the track back an era or two.

Such Hounds are a band you shouldn’t let pass you by… You can try and find many words to describe them; but one thing they can’t be accused of is being another ‘rock-cliché’. They feel like the result of throwing Bob Dylan in with The Ramones back in the 70’s.. A bit messed up but brilliant.
