‘You’ve Got Me Wonderin’ Now’ first made its appearance last-month, when the Brooklyn Punks sent it out as-part of a cassette mix-tape to 250 lucky fans and I’ve now finally managed to stumble across the track online which has made my day.
If you are familiar with Parquet Courts debut LP ‘Light Up Gold’ then you aren’t (hopefully) going to be disappointed with their forthcoming EP judging from the first release. The single is typical Parquet Courts with Andrew Savage’s mind boggling lyrics delivered in the usual slack/care-free style we have come accustomed too, while their NYC roots are still evidently laced into their music as the Ramones inspired chord patterns roar constantly under the snarly vocals that compliment their DIY ethos and sets up the EP perfectly.
