Them Swoops are a Melbourne based duo formed in 2012, consisting of Dave McGann and Chris Goff. They originally started life-out as a studio based project, but since they started playing live shows they’ve secured support slots with the likes of; The Maccabees, San Cisco, The Rubens, Ball Park Music and Last Dinosaurs.

This morning the kind guys at Indie Shuffle, premiered their new track ‘Rollerskate’ which will be on the forthcoming EP ‘Glimmers’ (released July 16 here in the UK).

I have to admit I’m behind the eight-ball slightly, as they have two previously released singles and this is the first track I’ve picked up on, I’d say if you like Splashh, San Cisco, Smallpools, Snakadaktal etc then you’re gonna enjoy this. ‘Rollerskate’ is a woozy psychedelic pop-song with fuzzy guitar riffs and a long lingering melody that give off the summer vibe that a-lot of Australian bands are brilliant at pulling off (let’s face it they see more of it than us)

Them Swoops release their debut EP ‘Glimmers’, here in the UK on July 16 through +1 Records.
