New: Catfish and the Bottlemen – Homesick

I am always happy to be sent good guitar music, and today I’ve been sent a little gem in the name of Catfish And The Bottlemen who are a young band (barely over the age of 19) from North Wales.

Expect to see their young careers speed up dramatically in the coming months, they recently signed to Communion records (homesick will be the first release) as-well has being featured as Zane Lowe’s “Next Hype track” on Radio 1 plus attention across 6music, XFM and they embark on a UK tour which runs-through May/June.

Their impressive upcoming single ‘Homesick’ doesn’t have the messy rawness you usually expect from young bands; they sound a tight-knit group with matureness beyond their years. Homesick opens with a gentle vocal led intro before powering into its huge anthemic chorus that had me blown away.

Homesick is released June 17 on Communion records.

Catfish And The Bottlemen play London’s The Barfly on June 3rd.
