Anything created in NYC added with a touch of punk usually gets me all warm & fuzzy, and well, it was no different when I stumbled upon Brooklyn’s Post-Punk rockers PARQUET COURTS.
PARQUET COURTS brand of garage-rock, cover all kind off beat topics including, getting stoned, being jobless and general slackness, but slackness doesn’t come into their music. They can produce sharp tongued witty lyrics and as in Stoned and Starving they can produce over 5 minutes of pure punk-rock and go from simple two-chord riffs into more complex solos.
PARQUET COURTS have three London dates scheduled for March. They are as follows:19 – The Garage, Highbury (w/ The Men)
19 – The Garage, Highbury (w/ The Men)
20 – The Shacklewell Arms
21 – Sebright Arms
Light Up Gold is (re) released in the UK on 15 April via What’s Your Rupture.
